What documents do I need to bring in when registering?

Birth Certificate, Social Security (parent n child), Immunization card, physical form. If you receive food stamps you would have to bring that in as well otherwise disregard. If your child will be attending our site as a private pay you must also submit at least (3) paystubs and a current W2 form.

How much is it for private pay?

Depends on the age of your child.

What is HRA?

I receive food stamps, isn’t this the same thing?

No, it is not. You can receive food stamps and not have an HRA case. You would ask your worker or local office food stamp office how to go about applying for a HRA case or you can apply online at www.nyc.gov/html/hra.

How long is the registration process, how soon can my child start?

The registration process is quick and simple. Once application is filled and all the documents have been submitted, your child is able to start.
 

I do not have a current physical for my child; do I need to wait for this document in order for my child to start?

Yes, all documentation must be updated and submitted before the child’s first day of school.

What is the earliest I can drop off my child?

Although doors open at 7:45 am the best time to drop off the child is 8:00 am just in time for breakfast.
 

What is the latest time I can pick up my child?

The best time to drop off your child is during breakfast.Breakfast is served from 8:00- 8:45 am.Circle time begins at 9:00 am. After 9:15 you are considered late.

What is the latest time I can drop off my child?

Latest without a doctor’s note is 9:30. Late with a doctor’s note 11:30 am.

My child is not potty trained, is that ok?

We will work along side the parent to assist with potty training

At what age do you start accepting children?

Infant – 6 weeks of age

Is your center open all year round?

YES, RSL is open all year round. We close for a week at the end of the school year. The last week of  June and also at the end of our Summer Program. The last week of August.

Active school days are subject to closing on severer weather days. We advise our parents to watch FOX 5 news for weather authority updates.
